Our Role
The Antigua & Barbuda Investment Authority (ABIA) is the statutory organization created by the government of Antigua & Barbuda to promote our country in order to attract domestic and foreign investment. The ABIA was established by the Investment Authority Act of 2006. Our office is located on the ground floor of the Sagicor Building in St. John’s, Antigua.
Our primary mandate is as follows:
- To promote Antigua & Barbuda as a premier investment jurisdiction
- To compile and disseminate information on available investment opportunities
- To provide after-care services to new and existing investors
- To improve the investment climate of the country
- To evaluate and approve applications for fiscal incentives to support investment projects
- To monitor projects which receive fiscal incentives to ensure the country receives expected benefits
- To develop local entrepreneurs including the provision of training and business advisory services
